Skiing

The Silvretta Arena is one of the most beautiful ski areas in Austria. Through the connection with Samnaun you can also take a little trip to Switzerland. At an altitude of up to 2,872 m (9,423 ft) above sea level, 239 kilometers (148 miles) of slopes are available for you to discover and enjoy.

Numerous chalets and alpine pastures invite you to a tasty snack in between. Enjoy regional delicacies and let yourself be pampered on the numerous sun terraces by our innkeepers.

Cross-country skiing

Between Ischgl and Galtür lies a true paradise for fans of Nordic winter sports. An extensive and absolutely snow-sure cross-country skiing network extends over a total of 73 kilometers (45 miles) and offers trails for every skill level.

If you want to gain your first experience in cross-country skiing, we recommend the local ski schools, which will guide you competently in your first attempts on cross-country skis.

Tobogganing and night skiing

If you are bored with traditional skiing on the slopes during the day, you should definitely try night skiing. In Galtür and See you have the opportunity to enjoy first-class powder under the starry sky every Wednesday. And if you get tired of skiing, you can simply switch to a toboggan. On Mondays and Thursdays the toboggan run in Ischgl is illuminated until late at night, allowing you to enjoy a rapid descent. The toboggan runs in Kappl and See also offer nightly tobogganing adventures from time to time.

Silvretta spa

Since December 2022, Ischgl has another highlight waiting for you off the slopes. Of course, we are refering to the impressive Silvretta Spa. An ice skating rink surrounding the spa, 320 m² (3,444 ft²) of high-end fitness, incomparable water worlds and five different saunas are just some of the available highlights. You should probably explore all the options in person and pamper yourself with a relaxing day at the Silvretta Spa.

Events

Winter in Ischgl doesn’t just stand for sporting adventures, but also for unforgettable events. Especially the concerts on the Idalp, which attract numerous guests to Ischgl year after year.
